Today I’m writing from Punta Cana on the Dominican Republic, feeling like I’m in a Corona commercial. The sand is fine and white, the water every shade of turquoise and teal. The occasion? Carly Goodwin and Josh Kear’s wedding. Though I came to know them through TTT (Carly’s mom, Gail, has been a member for years), we’ve come to be close friends and I couldn’t be more excited about Carly’s and Josh’s successes. Carly’s duet with Willie Nelson, singing “Crazy,” recently won “Country Single of The Year” at the L.A. Music Awards. Josh wrote both “Before He Cheats” (sung by Carrie Underwood and currently #1 on the Country charts) and “Bama Breeze” (the title track of Jimmy Buffet’s latest album). The wedding, which was covered by “Brides” magazine, was Saturday on the beach and couldn’t have been more idyllic. Congratulations to the bride and groom!

Speaking of dreamy tropical escapes, we have five very special “Zero Points for Zowie Properties” offerings – TWO ARE PRIVATE ISLANDS. Another way to receive a point, for those who have a website for your property(ies), is to add a link to TTT on your website. The more websites which link to TTT, the higher we rise in the “natural selection” results of various search engines (which means more and more new properties for our members to enjoy, a win for us all).

An important note which I want to include in this newsletter is that the owners of HomeExchange.com are unhappy with some of our sales people and members who have been contacting their subscribers asking if they’d like to be members of TTT. While I deeply appreciate those of you who contact owners of desirable properties in TTT’s behalf, I ask that we respect the wishes of the owners of HomeExchange.com and not contact their members. Ideally, I would like to create a synergistic working relationship between HomeExchange.com (or one of the other large home exchange companies) and TTT. Whether or not this happens, I would like to publicly apologize for any/all upset which we’ve caused and I do promise them that I will do my best to see that this doesn’t happen again.

On a far lighter note, I’d like to remind everyone that Hosts receive DOUBLE POINTS for holiday weeks. If your vacation home would make a wonderful place for a couple or family to spend one of the upcoming holidays (yet no one is currently planning to be there for that week), please let us know so that we can do our best to find the perfect guest for you. You’ll get TWICE the value of the week!

Last, but not least, I’d like to remind you that if you or someone you know is selling a vacation property, you can list it in the “Properties for Sale” section of our website. You can do this yourself by logging into your Member’s section of our website or you can give us a call and we’ll enter the information for you. For properties which sell due to exposure on our site, we ask a .2% commission.
