This home is in the village of Manson on the banks of Lake Chelan. Due to its close proximity to the water, the owners do not feel that the property is appropriate for very young children. For older children, it is excellent as there are many things to do. There is a boat dock with a paddle boat, fishing from the dock as well as many water sports. You are 30 minutes from snow skiing and golf is nerby. Lake Chelan is a 55 mile long "pristine" lake, and is one of Washington's premier vacation areas. There are many tourist and recreational activities available. The lake lies in the center of Washington state. The lower end of the lake (near the communities of Chelan and Manson) is semi-desert with green, irrigated apple orchards surrounding the lake and covering the hills.
The upper end of the lake is only accessible by boat or plane. It offers even more spectacular scenery with high mountain peaks and glaciers; it has been referred to as the "Switzerland of America" and borders the North Cascades National Park. | |
