Description

The Marcliffe at Pitfodels is a family hotel, situated on eight acres of wooded grounds, ideal for visiting Scotland's scenic Northeast. The rooms are beautifully appointed with antique furniture and paintings with a fireplace and hot tub to add to your comfort. There are two restaurants, a wine cellar with several hundred vintage wines, and a drawing room stocked with 100 malt whiskies. Members are treated to a distinctive a la carte dinner during a trade at this lovely hotel. Golf at the Royal Aberdeen and Cruden Bay can be arranged, as well as salmon fishing, stalking, and grouse or pheasant hunting. The Royal Aberdeen is the fifth oldest golf club in the world, and Cruden Bay is one of the top 100 courses. Other championship courses, including Murear Golf Club, are in the area. The Marcliffe is a member of Small Luxury Hotels of the World (SLHW) consortium.
