Description

Our home is in the town of Carmel-by-the-Sea. We are a 10 minute walk to both the beach and the town. Carmel-by-the-Sea has many wonderful restaurants, shops, art galleries and quaint ambiance. The walk to the beach is also about 10 minutes along a beautiful canyon. We are in a very private location overlooking the canyon and creek that is the border of Pebble Beach and the 17 Mile Drive. Our view is one of trees and filtered "ocean peaks" all the way down to the shore. There are two bedrooms upstairs-two queen beds and two bathrooms. Downstairs is one queen, two twins, bath and a hide-a-bed in the converted garage/playroom. This is a perfect spot for a family or another couple. There are three televisions. The porch is covered on three sides and heated. We eat the majority of our meals here while listening to the ocean. The patio at the top of the property is a lovely spot to read, relax or sleep in entire solitude. The name of our home is "Avrio". Having lived in Greece for 3 years, we decided that Avrio would be a perfect name. The translation is roughly "tomorrow or anything after today". Upon arriving, we try to realize that nothing is so important that it has to be done immediately.

Follow Ocean Avenue down toward the water. Turn right on Monte Verde (The Pine Inn is on the NE corner). Follow the road to the absolute end. Make a hairpin turn, and the house will be on your left. We have three parking placed (end on end) which is lots for Carmel. The driveway is shared, so please leave access for neighbors (who live in Ohio, do not rent, and are there for long weekends about 3-4 times per year).
